@TheGander The GRC is the gender recognition form. With this, people can update their birth certificate to reflect their identified sex rather than their biological sex. With the birth certificate, they can then update their passport etc.
On the surface, this sounds great to me.
I'm sure we are all aware that those born of the male biological sex are faster and stronger than those born with the female biological sex. There is nothing we can do about this fact. It's also more common for biologically born men to abuse biologically born women than for women to abuse men.
Nevertheless, for someone to gain the GRC in Scotland, no medical checks are required, and previous convictions aren't considered so a male paedophile or a rapist can obtain the GRC in a very short period of time. These types of men can then say they are a woman, and go into women only spaces such as prisons, hospital wards, women's refuges, etc. And biologically born women can do nothing about it.
Not only that, Scotland has also said that those of the age of 16 can medically transition to their identified gender without parental consent. Some medical changes are not reversible.
If anything factual is incorrect with the above, then please correct me as I've only known about this for a short period of time, and I live in England.
