just moved here and in process of applying for residency, after many years of holidays and wanting to be here.
finally retired and did it….

Interesting! I'm in the Republic (settled with residency) but have never met anyone who's done it in the north. How does it work? Are you retired?

Hi. Not yet, but we will take some lessons. We absolutely love it here. We are currently renting in Catalkoy whilst we look for our perfect villa.

I'm not familiar with the North at all, do they welcome outsiders?

Hi. Yes. About a 15 min drive away. Lovely little town, pretty harbour.

How is life there, what made you choose such an unusual and controversial destination to retire to?

Didn't mean to offend you with my last question, sorry! I spent the day in 'Lefkosa' today, it is such a different place. The TC's have really struggled over the past two/three years with the pandemic, I was happy to spend my money there.
