Buying in Spain - Murcia / Nerja / Mijas / Benalmadena

Good morning, I am hoping for some insights please. Due to some changes in our lives we are looking to buy a property in Spain where we will live for some of the year (in chunks). We are very familiar with Benalmadena but Nerja, Mijas and Murcia are all coming up on our property searches. We will ofcourse be travelling to all of these places to get a feel for the place however has anybody any insights on them? Which would you pick and why?

We are a family of 5, Dh and I are mid forties, dcs are all teens. DH will be in Spain more than the rest of us (works from home and very easy to work anywhere). We want the good weather, enjoy eating out and being close to a beach. We will also want access to a pool (villa or apartment).

Murcia properties seem lower in price than the others.

Any info atall would be very gratefully received. Thanks

Nerja is beautiful

Nerja is lovely, as are the hills behind it. I'd move there in a heartbeat.

Nerja would be my choice as well. Beautiful area & good access to all you're looking fir.

I'm sure you already know that a visa would be needed if you're going to be here more than 90 days in any 180, & there are tax implications if your husband plans to be here more than 180 days a year.

Hi, thanks for replies so far. We will obviously be driving over in Spain so exploring the hills sounds lovely. Yes we know about the 90 /180 day rule but thank you for the reminder. I think Nerja is somewhere we need to explore more I think.

Do you mind me asking how much for, am I right that there is a price expectation, something like the property has to be over 330k?

We live in Murcia. Lovely region!
We are about 15/20 from the beaches, and about 20 minutes in the other direction is Murcia City.
5/10 minutes from Murcia International airport, or an hour from Alicante.
Love it here.

We had some lovely holidays in Nerja and also in the higher up smaller village of Frigiliana. Lovely area.
