We've just bought a flat in paris- having got through the hard bits (ie legal, bank etc) am now struggling with kitting the flat out with the more every day stuff (ie white goods, kitchens tuff etc)?

Can you shop on line easily in France and if so which are the good bog standard websites to order

Whats the best place to buy white goods?

Sorry real novice here so any help much appreciated.

Darty and Boulanger are the big chains for white goods.

Also all the hypermarkets sell white goods.

I am an in rural france and we go to the local independent shop. It doesn't cost that much more and the aftersales service is fab. I don't know if this applies in Paris. Hopefully Anna will be along soon.

Hi Poppy

We have used cdiscount.com on several occasions, they were a bit unreliable with delivery dates but did fantastic deals. Hope you settle in soon

I used Carrefour (in Spain though) and they were great for white goods .
Delivery exactly on time and prices very reasonable.
