It is officially Christmas Day here now, [has been for a while now] so I can say Merry Christmas to you all.

Hope you all have a good time, eating drinking, opening presents, arguing [cos we all know we will, at some point]!!

Chuck another shrimp on the barbie for us!

sandcastles - did you have a good day. Ours wasn't too bad - best part - 3 hour nap in the afternoon dd3 was not sleeping well and so dh and I were knackered. But I think we are almost caught up now. Thankfully the stormy stinking hot weather predicted did not materialise.

sandcastles · 27/12/2007 11:46

Hey Eids, didn't see your reply!

Yes, I had a great day. MIL did a great late lunch & sent us home with more left overs than the fridge can handle!

Dd managed NOT to tell anyone about the L know, that's all for now), even though she has taken to telling random strangers at the shops!

That nap sounds wonderful!

we are off up to the sunshine coast for news years - to escape our rowdy neighbours.

sandcastles · 27/12/2007 11:47

Dd managed NOT to tell anyone about the pregnancy ( PIL know, that's all for now)

how many weeks??

sandcastles · 27/12/2007 11:56

11 today!

It was actually dd who told MIL, she was ?showing her the rooms in the new house & said 'this will be babies room' MIL was like 'Baby?' to dh....a bit of a shock!

But she has been great since, is a little worried about the Pre eclampsia that I had last time, but she seems pleased.

that's great - 11 weeks already. Babe due in Aug/Sep then? I remember dd1 was due Aug and I was about 7 weeks when we told il's - only cause I was at their house for dinner and normally would have wine but had ginger ale instead as I had been quite ill. Really can't fob the non drinking off on antibiotics then

sandcastles · 27/12/2007 12:09

Due 17 July, if my calculations are right..hmm!

Seeing midwife next Thursady for first time.

We were planning on telling IL the day that dd did, she kinda just did it for us, so that wasn't a problem. Not drinking at Christmas was explained to the other relatives by way of me being the driver (passed test 1/12) so dh could have a few! So it wasn't hard to explain away.

Can I blame my lack of typing skills on pregnancy?

eidsvold · 27/12/2007 12:15

nah - a lovely winter baby - won't have to worry about carrying the last term through the summer like silly old me.

Can you believe that dd3 is 9 months old? where has that time gone.

sandcastles · 27/12/2007 12:18

No, I can't believe that! Wow....that has gone so quick.

I am pleased that I won't be big in summer, I was in the UK with dd & even though it doesn't get that hot there, it wiped me out, so lord only knows how I'd be here!

And now I have the freedom of the car I won't have to negotiate the public transport system with a huge tum!
