Relocating to Bermuda-what are the advantages?

Hubby is serious contender for a role in Bermuda. He will be on a good financial services package, so although I know it's super expensive, this isn't my main concern.
I have two (fair-haired) girls who I will be paranoid about lathering in factor 50+ all day!
My eldest is 5, year one at good state primary and awaiting an ASD referral, my other daughter is 2.
I'm struggling to see the benefits of moving, as a family of 4, financial gains are eroded by the cost of living.
I'm a freelance accountant and could apparently get work.
We are very settled where we are but I want to be sure I've covered all angles.
Any thoughts welcome!

Did you move in the end? I have friends who are working as teachers and colleague with kids in Bermuda. Schooling is very poor in Bermuda. The best school on island is equivalent to your Ofsted good state school in London. Their only special needs school is awful, high teacher to children ratio and the teachers there don't all have training for SEN kids. A group of 20 kids all with SEN needs ranging from 6yo to 17yo in a class.
Shooting incident per capita is very high. Cat calling is very common.

The cost of living is very high. Healthcare is not great either. There is no ear throat and nose specialist on island. Have to fly overseas to get treatment. Dentists here are famous to get patients, including kids, to do an X Ray every time to get extra $.
It is only worth moving if your kids are healthy, not school age yet, and the package is much much better than the UK after factoring in the high cost of living and lower living standards.

OP won’t reply as they’re bound to be lost in the triangle

I lived in Bermuda for 5 years in my mid 20s. Fabulous place to live. Not sure I’d do it with kids though

Thanks everyone, stayed in the UK.
