apparently she may need a new sim when in Korea?
can we get it here?

She will be able to get it there no problem. Get her to do some research, join some forums, watch some YouTube videos, there are plenty of British people living in Korea.

The biggest mistake people make when moving abroad is trying to do everything from home. Just get there and work it out. She'll have WiFi on her current phone which will be plenty to make calls and message for the first week

thank you so much.
apparently the forum is so overwhelming
she will have to quarantine and therefore needs a sim, so perhaps ok to pick up at the airport?

Make sure she has an unlocked device with her that will take the different network SIM. It may be worth adding a bundle for her to get her through quarantine and she can pick up a SIM later if none available at the airport.

Will she have wifi in quarantine? If so, that will probably tide her over and she can probably arrange for the quarantine hotel to get her a SIM. Agree just get a generous domestic bundle that would cover roaming if she's desperate, and agree, unlocked phone is the key thing.

that is a good idea @Insert1x20p

Why is she going?

If it is for work or study can they help?

You could try asking in the trip advisor forum.

thank you
