After the deafening silence in response to my thread asking re anyone in India... does anyone know any websites for expats (mums?) trying to find out more about life in a new place? Sure they must be out there!

You could try British Expats: britishexpats.com/ although I don't know if there is an India section in the forum.

Talesmag.com isn't bad... it's mostly US foreign service folk answering a standard questionaire, but the coverage is wide and it does give you some honest answers about expat life in cities worldwide.
