Long shot here probably but has anyone travelling to France managed to book a pcr test after 7 days and before returning to the UK? Limoges area. Thank you!

Just go to a local pharmacy to get a test. If you're traveling back to the Uk you don't need a pcr test and most pharmacies are doing the quick response ones for free

I'd be interested to know the answer. I have family in France who enquired at their local pharmacy and was told that they didn't think the tests they had were sufficient for return travel to the UK. Not sure how to find out the answer!

I travelled from France to the Uk last week using a pharmacy test - it was not a pcr test. You can check the test requirements on the Uk government travel website

Thanks all.
It all seems very confusing!
We seem to need a pcr 7 days after arrival to satisfy the French and another one prior to our return to satisfy the UK.
But some people have obviously just used a pre-flight lateral flow test for the second one.
I think we'll have to play it safe.
Travelling out to sell a house and we've booked the tests online at a local testing centre using Doctolib.
