I was hoping someone could recommend a good website for getting a few treat type foods delivered? Chocolate etc. But the place is about 5/6 hours out of Bergen so quite rural for delivery. Thanks

I'n in Sweden and order stuff from the British Corner shop a couple of times a year. They sell a huge range of British foodstuff and a selected range of Waitrose products. They will handle the shipping, post Brexit paperwork and import duties etc.

Having said that - the post Brexit rules seem to be baffling and they cannot always predict what will get stopped by UK customs. I recently had my Easter box stopped by UK customs because of a jar of Tartare sauce! Yet I have used this service for years and easily shipped stuff to the US when my niece was living there so Brexit is making it much harder for smaller companies like this,

Thankyou Lunde, I don't suppose you have any idea how taxes work with that website do you? It looks like I need to pay 25% do they deduct the UK GST and collect the Norwegian tax for me?

I would check out the Brexit FAQ - I think that they are currently only shipping tariff free items

You could also try Amazon - the German one is pretty good.

But check where the item is shipped on - learnt the hard way after paying £8 in customs duty on 2 jars of Branston pickle!

Do you mean a website within Norway, or one that will deliver UK foods? If the latter, better to buy and post yourself and mark as a gift otherwise the recipient will have to pay tax on it. If you're looking for a Norwegian website you could try tights.no - under "matvarer". They sell chocolate and various snacks and will deliver. Or if it's more like a box of posh chocolates then try konfektgalleriet.no - not cheap though!
