OK - I have big feet - where can I get shoes in Brussels?

Just been shopping in our local mall type thing and none of the shops do any shoes above a size 41. I have size 42 (will take an 8 or 9 in the UK). I am not abnormally large and didn't think my feet where noticeably larger than anyone else?s but apparently everyone in Belgium has tinnie winnie pixie sized feet! Anyone got any idea where I can get shoes from as I am down to my last unfashionable pair of sensible black boots and I want some high heeled knee high unsensible boots.

No advice really, but I am also a 42, so is also a good friend of mine, so there are quite a few of us out there.

Have you tried any of the online uk shoe shops to see if they ship abroad, Schuh for instance.

Sorry, can't help much either. I know a tall, large-footed friend of mine goes to the Netherlands (specifically Breda, as it's near) for clothes and shoe shopping.

There is also an end-of-line shoeshop called O'Dace on Chaussee d'Ixelles near Porte de Namur that does shoes up to 42, I think, but it's pot luck what they have in stock at any one time. Better phone first to check.

You need to get your arse up to Leuven (or anywhere in Flanders, I would guess) as they seem to do more shoes in large sizes up there.
