Im English and thinking of moving to Spain, specifically Murcia or Andalusia. What are your experiences of living in Spain? I do like the usual going out to restaurants, shopping, cinema etc and realise that it would be a slower pace of life but would be interested in hearing from anyone about what life is like living in Spain

Are you working age? I found it quite exhausting starting work at 730 and finishing at 930 daily. Yes, you get the siesta but that's only good if you're good at napping which I'm not

I would be keeping my job here in the UK and working remotely/virtually so normal working hours

This might be a starting point:

If you do not hold an EU nationality it will now be more difficult to move to an EU country following the end of the transition period.

You should ensure you, and your employer, have good tax and social advice to ensure compliance on a corporate and personal level.

It’s not always as easy to just “work from somewhere else”

We live in Murcia, very happy here.

We used to live in rural Almeria. Loved the slower place of life and the coastline is great. Unless you live on the coast though English isn't that widely spoken in that province. Plenty of bars and restaurants but cinemas thin on the ground and proper shopping is really confined to the shopping malls in/outside the cities. The Costa del Sol is way more built up and therefore offers increased facilities.
Much harder to do post Brexit. You need to understand all new requirements for residency, tax etc.
Pre Covid we were going back for two 3 month stints a year and hope to resume that arrangement when all this is over.
