this week has been beautiful Autumn weather, crisp mornings, hot afternoons, but this morning we've got snow - it's only October for goodness sake. I know we need it for our business but I didn't want it until mid November at least!!The boys are soooo excited, you would think they hadn't already experienced 2 winters here wouldn't you.

What do you love/hate about the weather where you are?

wow,how deep is it,do you think it'll stay?

like dry winter days here, hate the relentless rain

debinaustria · 19/10/2007 07:37

ggirl - where are you?

Only a couple of cms, a covering but not on the road(thankfully)I hope it won't stay we haven't got the winter tyres on yet, trampoline's still out, boys havent got their winter boots etc etc...

if you look at austrianfamilyholidays dot co dot uk you can see lots of snowy photos from our previous winters here.

we got it too but awful slushy stuff, which'll be gone by lunchtime

DH left our new guest canopy thing out over night because he was out late helping the neighbours make brandy () and it's collapsed under the snow. Really hope it hasn't broken. I will be mightily annoyed.

debinaustria · 19/10/2007 07:50

Hope it's not broken Princess

me too

Just had a nosey at your website and am amazed at how similar austria is to bosnia. Even the houses.

XcupcakemummyX · 19/10/2007 07:56

last time we lived here i nearly skidded through a junction and had a few close shaves with the snow plough

I have to decide today on whever i take the use of dhs car or ds and i hide this winter

brimfull · 19/10/2007 08:47

BrownSuga · 19/10/2007 08:49

BrownSuga · 19/10/2007 08:53

debinaustria that looks absolutely gorgeous. does there happen to be a nursery in town for 7mth old, while we're off skiing?

debinaustria · 19/10/2007 09:58

Brownsuga I'm not going to be doing too much skiing this winter as I'm pregnant so I'm sure we could come to some sort of arrangement!

mm sounds good, will have to start twisting dh's arm, we were going to miss skiing this year. we skied italy last yr, i was 6mths.

debinaustria · 20/10/2007 07:41

How was it skiing at 6 months? dh said maybe you're fit and young though - not a 38 year old like me!! Seriously though I don't know whether I want to ski this season or not, I'm 6 weeks now.
