Following on from the conversation in the France internet shopping thread - who would like to meet up in Paris in Oct/Nov, and what date(s) would you prefer?

Bugger - forgot the holidays. Ummmmm...... maybe November then.

How about Friday 23 November?

OK - so sometime from Monday 12 November onwards?

I'm in Brussels the weekend of Friday 16/Saturday 17/Sunday 18 November. Wednesdays are bad for me (though not impossible if it has to be a Wednesday).

Good grief, I think I might be able to get to a Parisian meet-up during the week 19-23rd.

Looks as if I won't be able to make it: I can't get time off work during the week.

Is there anyone who can't do weekends? I can't remember.

I am not totally against weekends - if that's what's easiest for the majority, I can do a weekend.

But not the first, second and third weekends in November - they are already taken.

So how about 24th November?

Saturday 24 November would be fine.

OSOTC, I'm mostly in Nigeria but with a base in Scotland.

The 24th is not a good day for me, unless you all want to come to my ds's wedding!

So you'll be in France that week because your son is getting married in France on 24th?

Yes, I'm a teacher. Wednesdays are out, too, since I have DS to look after. TBH, I'm not even sure I'd be able to make it at the weekend, the way things are at work and home (and on my bank statements!!) right now, so please don't shift things around to fit me in.
I'll look forward to photos and feedback, and hope to make it to the next meetup.

I can't make Wednesdays either because it is my only on my own with the DCs. I guess we'll have to see what date suits the most people 23rd or 24th November.....

OSOTC, yes, we'll be in Paris from 18th-26th Nov. But don't take me into account with planning a date, I have no idea of our timetable for the week.

Yes, IME you are unlikely to be able to grab a few free hours from the wedding preparation mayhem!

So is it just Anna and I (and possibly Auldalliance) who could make it?

Where's ggg gone? She was the instigator - she's supposed to be coming up to Paris in November and that's how it all got rolling.

Well, I'll keep my Sat 24th free anyway and see how much interest we get over the next few weeks.

Saturdays and time off from the kids are pretty precious so if there's only going to be two of us, seems like we should try again in the New Year and see if we can drum up more interest. What do you think?
