Repaying student loan company from overseas

How do you all do it? I've just started my first payment, and tbh it was a total ballache. Do you transfer direct to SLC or go through Flywire? Any tips for making it a bit easier?

Every month is a nightmare, also contacting SLV from overseas is equally horrible. I gave up paying it.

Most people don't bother and no one chases.

Really?! I'm not ok with that. In fact I'm delighted that after 16 years I'm finally earning enough to pay it back.

DH tried for the first few years and it was such a huge pain and it kept cocking up over and over. There's no easy way. Eventually he gave up and started paying again when we moved back.

I think the people saying they're not paying can't possibly be under the same scheme as me!! DH and I have loans from 1998-2002 and there's no way we'd get away with not paying them. We each have 2 referees listed on our accounts, and on the one occasion DH didn't complete his paperwork on time, they applied the penalty payments of £245!! I've paid mine off now, but DH is still paying his. We get a UK family member to pay his instalments, and then we transfer a lump sum to that person every few months. Works for us, but I guess won't be feasible for everyone....
