Anyone in NJ? Looking for thoughts on Hoboken vs. Jersey City...

I currently live in Manhattan, but crammed into a one bed flat with DH, 2 dogs and a baby. Staying in Manhattan isn't realistic as the price jump to buy a 2 bed vs. a 1 bed is huge and I don't think we can afford it.

DH works in Jersey City, so we're thinking of crossing the river, but does anyone have any opinions on Jersey City vs. Hoboken?

I lived in downtown JC from 2010 to 2017 and I still work there. I really like it but they are building on every square inch so it's getting busier all the time. It's a great community though and I miss living there. We lived near Hamilton Park which is great. Parking is rubbish though but I believe that's true of Hoboken as well. It's expensive these days, although I'm sure you'll get more for your money than in Manhattan.

They're both really nice areas so I'm not sure you can go too wrong with either. If you have any specific questions, let me know...
