Does saying goodbye ever get easier?

I’ve been home for a few weeks and am heading back to the US today.

Does leaving and saying goodbye ever get easier? I’m sat on the train to the airport balling my eyes out!

Words of encouragement or just hugs my way please.

Not for me. And I am in bloody Australia. It is so hard. It makes me question our living there

Nope they are always horrendous. I am just back from a couple of weeks at home. I actually managed to say goodbye to the majority without blubbing on them all which is a first but I sobbed the whole way from saying goodbye to my parents at security to sitting on the plane. It wasn't helped that I was travelling on my own with a toddler. It is the worst thing about living overseas.

It has for me, a little bit. Took about 5 years though. How long have you lived away?

I’m in the US, have been for nearly 3 years and goodbyes are becoming harder somehow.
