school holidays in NZ

Hi there, can anyone tell me when the school holidays are over Christmas? I'm wondering when school goes back. Thanks!

They usually break up just before Christmas and go back around the 5th Feb. Looooooooooooong hols hth

Always after Waitangi Day which is 6th Feb ....

aaaaaaahhhhhhhh, only know it's always just after ds1's birthday (the 5th) so I either have to be organised and give out the invites before the hols and hope a)they don't get lost b) people remember and turn up. Either that or he gets short changed and only has a few mates - or is that just my cunning excuse to have a small party

ok thanks guys. I was planning on making it a long Christmas trip and putting dd into school in NZ for a while before coming back but this would mean a VERY long Christmas holiday for us. I hoped sort of mid-Jan then she could have done 3 weeks of school in NZ maybe.
