Husband and I have a notion that we would love to live in the Channel Islands, we've been to Guernsey 4 times and Jersey once together. (He has been more than that on his own for business).
We live in SW London, our 3 yo is registered to start at either 2 of the loveliest independent schools in our neighbourhood in sept 2020.
I grew up in rural north western France, he grew up in SW London.
An opportunity is slowly opening to move to Jersey with work, I do unpaid work, he is the main earner.
My big question about this potential move is schooling for our child. How good are the primary schools in Jersey? Are there schools which would be on par with the best independents in London?
If you live there, what the pro and cons? Are the winters completely dire? Guernsey-dwellers are telling me Jersey is too populated and a bit snobbish, but they would say that, no?
I have an ongoing - possibly lifelong - psychiatric disorder, are there any good shrinks out there?
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
