Aide flood damage?

We are thinking of having a family holiday next year in Aude but have seen there were devastating floods in October. Does anyone know how the area is recovering? My Googling isn’t bringing up much?

It's fine. My Mum lives in Aude, very near the palces that were worst affected. Only really a few towns were affected, so you might still some damage that hasn't yet been repaired, but the infrastructure (roads etc) was repaired pretty quickly afterwards.

Thanks so much. I found out today that the house we are thinking of renting had flood damage. It is in Villegaillehenc but I presume that by next year it will be back to normal!

Ah, that's not far from my Mum! Her village is on a hill, so they were unaffected, but some of the villages around Trebes/Conques/Carcassonne might still have some damage I guess. The main infrastructure (roads, electrics etc) was put back in action quite quickly, but some municipal structures like the local swimming pool and school will take a while to rebuild....
