Possible relocation to Guernsey

Wondering about life there with 2 DC and DH. Bad and good? Many thanks.

Have you ever visited?

I love Guernsey. I have been 4 times now. Unfortunately my husband's job can't relocate there, else I would move in a heartbeat.

The beaches are out of this world, kids are out playing all the times, the restaurants are amazing.

I have friends who moved there 2 years ago, they have lived in 4 countries before that, they love life over there so much that they bought their forever house within 6 months of moving.

I am guessing the usual island inconveniences apply: - the airport can get shut down because of fog, grocery shopping is expensive, it's very small...

Schooling is mostly free and my friends have 3 children (1 x ADHD, 1 with mild version of ADHD) and the support and care they have had is amazing.

Unfortunately I haven't been to Guernsey yet however have lived on a tropical island (not as small though) so I can imagine the island inconveniences you mentioned.
Otherwise it sounds like a great place, so I'm hoping a bit more now that our relocation will happen.
