Moving to Caen

We will be moving to Caen in September for a year due to DH's work. We have DD1 (3.5) and DD2 (1.8) - is there anyone living in or around Caen for some advice please?!?!

What kind of advice are you looking for? I'm in the Pas-de-Calais which isn't very nearby but my colleague was born and brought up in the Cotentin which is close to Caen.

I lived there for a year and have a friend with teenage children still in the city.
I liked it VERY much I must say but this was 20 years ago...

Hi osc - initially we need to find somewhere to live! We are struggling to communicate with the letting agents in Caen or make much sense of the websites. Husband will be working in town and we would ideally like to live on the outskirts in a house with a garden for DD's. We know that Rots is nice, but cannot find anywhere to rent there but anywhere similar to Rots would be good. Do you know of any English speaking letting agents? We would ideally like to arrange to do some viewing and will then make a trip for a few days to do all the viewing at once and decide on somewhere. Thanks for any pointers you can give.
