Hi All,

We're moving to Sydney for 3 months in the middle of July. DS is coming up to 8 months and I'd love to make contact with any mumnetters who are over there! I HATE flying and am a bit in denial about the whole thing but am trying to think about life after the hideous flight . Any top tips about how to meet other mums & babies? We're going to be pretty central - Potts Point/ Elizabeth Bay.

Also would appreciate any advice anyone can give me about how the healthcare system works over there - is there an equivalent of health visitors and how do you go about registering with a primary care physician? Hopefully we won't need either if we're only there for 3 months but there's bound to be something....

Let me know if you are interested in her contact details.

yeah, CAT me too, I'm not far away. My little one is 2 next month and I'm here until January

GP - you don't register, just turn up
Health Visitors, not sure

You meet loads of mothers in the park - honestly

Buy the book "Sydney for Under fives" - loads to do
