Moveing to UK

Hi. We will be moveing to the UK with our 2 children age 5 and 1. Any advice and words of wisdom? We are moveing from south africa.

Do you want a city, a town or a small village? Will you have to find work?
I lived in Nottingham and it didn't strike me as a city full of opportunities...

We are thinking of moveing to ashby as we have heard the schools there is great and its close to family. Are you also from south africa?
