British School Riyadh

My DH might be moving to Riyadh. We were thinking of British School in Riyadh for the kid. Can someone help me out with this. We haven,t got a clue about the place.

Just how the school is? Is it as good as private schools in UK? Would they help me preparing for his 11+ exams?

I would say it has a mediocre reputation in the city. My children didn't attend it but various friends children did. Most of them took their children out when they were approaching IGCSE age.
A massive thing in Riyadh is your child attending a school near where you live. Riyadh traffic is horrendous and dangerous. Some of the children we knew spent 2 hours+ EACH WAY going to school and back! But if you live near BISR it would be easier.
Also, there is quite a waiting list.
Schools are v pricey in Riyadh and you won't get the same standard as you would for that price in the UK.
So, I would definitely say mediocre from what our friends have said.
