IB/British/American schools in Qatar

Hi everyone...I am going to shift to Qatar very soon and I am looking forward for admissions of my two kids aged 3 and 12 . Can someone help me in deciding it. I would like to have reviews of various schools.

Sorry can't really advise as we are also moving there soon and applying for schools so following the thread with interest. Most people seem to suggest Doha college as being one of the best though.

Space has free up in a lot if schools but there's still a long wait list for the top schools. Call round them all and see which have space and are in your budget as a starting point.

Doha College - British. Goes all the way from pre-school through to secondary. Two campuses, one in Al Waab and one in a West Bay. Very Academic.

Doha English Speaking School (DESS) - lovely, primary only, feels very English and excellent reputation for sports and academically

Compass - two campuses, British. Popular and usually easier to get a place but also more expensive.

ASD - hugely popular American School. Expensive.

There is also King's - new British school getting rave reviews but slightly further away from residential areas.

Check out application dates and deadlines. Call the registrars ASAP.

Hi. We are planning to move to qatar for the next avademic year. My son will be joining Year1. In search for a good school where they take care of the kid properly. Preferably a small school. DESS has closed admission. Sherbone n Compass is too above of our budget. Any idea on Qatar International School and Newton Academy. Both in Dafna area.
