Can any of you lovely folks please offer me some reassurance that a few hours of TV in the afternoons isn't going to ruin my two young children (2yrs, 4yrs)?!?

It's still too hot here (ME) to do much until around 4/5pm, which is dinner time around here! I just feel so guilty that they're cooped up so much. We play/colour/bake etc but I can't do it all afternoon, I'm tired after a day at work myself!

Any other good ideas for little kids? They squabble quite a lot at the moment so entertaining them feels exhausting. And when will it ever cool down??

Paddling pool in the shade? Water play? Not with you but alone? Or are they too small?

Don't feel bad! It's normal....and in the UK afternoons like that are normal just because sometimes it's too cold and wet!
