Can anyone suggest one that’s consistently good? Or if not consistently good, has good customer service 😏

If you want to watch uk tv why don't you try tvmucho?

bigbadbarry · 15/10/2017 12:46

ExpressVPN is excellent. You have to pay though.

CherryLip · 15/10/2017 20:35

Another user of ExpressVPN and can recommend.

SavoyCabbage · 15/10/2017 20:37

We use Getflix.

Kateste1 · 16/10/2017 11:50

I suggest you to try first NordVPN. it is much cheaper, but for security rated as the best in many sites, btw Express and Nord are rated like #1-2 and they have customer care available via live chat 24/7

Ohthepressure · 16/10/2017 14:31

We use witopia, they've been excellent for us for years, good online chat service for sorting out issues eg installing on new devices. You can choose from dozens of locations, depending on what you're wanting to watch / do.

CaptainWarbeck · 17/10/2017 06:15

We use nordvpn and it's been great so far.

allegretto · 17/10/2017 06:26

Watching!

DubaiismyBlackpool · 17/10/2017 06:30

We bought another router and subscribed to a static VPN company. There’s a yearly subscription of around $70 and you need to have the separate router ‘pinged’ to have the best service. It rarely goes down and we can choose whenever we want which host country to use. Right now it’s the UK, but both our Netflix and Amazon work in the UK and US. Only occasionally does Netflix pick up the VPN and not work.
The customer service has always been good for us when we’ve had to contact them.

beingsunny · 17/10/2017 07:50

We use vanished which seems good so far

lazydog · 17/10/2017 07:54

Another Nord VPN user here. Been happy with them for the last 12 months. Haven't really needed to test the quality of their tech support at all, which I guess is a good sign.

LadyDeLaFuente · 22/10/2017 17:17

I use Tunnel Bear and have had no problems whatsoever.

farangatang · 26/10/2017 02:39

Does anyone know what has happened to the live 24/7 chat service at Express VPN? Having an issue (first time in ages) and there only seems to be an email contact now...

BeALert · 30/10/2017 01:50

I recently switched to Overplay.net SmartDNS and it's worked really consistently for me.

Orangebird69 · 30/10/2017 02:23

EXPRESS VPN was ok for me although recently bbc iplayer and Sky Go have blocked it a few times. V frustrating!

DavidBowiesNumber1 · 30/10/2017 15:09

I use VPN Robot (free) and have never had any issues

IamSerena · 09/11/2017 05:01

Turbo VPN is great in conjunction with an android box (provided your internet supplier is good)

huha · 09/11/2017 05:30

I use unblock us and have never had an issue.

OlennasWimple · 15/11/2017 00:46

I have been using Hola (free VPN) but recently I've been finding that various UK and US sites automatically block VPN users (including BBC iPlayer)

Do any of the paid for providers on this thread get around this problem, or is technology catching up with us?

ksb76 · 15/11/2017 00:49

I just tried tunnelbear and the BBC iplayer rejected it. Have others found that it works?

SummerLightning · 15/11/2017 02:02

Tunnelbear used to be reliable for me for watching iplayer, but won't let me in any more.

Is this for watching uk tv? If so, apparently bbc are upping their game on detecting and trying to block vpn users.

LadybirdsAreFab · 15/11/2017 02:43

We use Strongdns.com, it has a monthly cost but customer service is great.

BeALert · 15/11/2017 15:17

Yes overplay.net SmartDNS is allowing me to watch BBC iplayer.

MountainDweller · 16/11/2017 23:11

DH knows the name of the company... note to self to ask in the morning. We just changed from a party line to a dedicated line and it’s great, no hiccups at all when streaming - £10 a month though! IPlayer and Netflix are working again after 3 weeks not so we are happy!

farangatang · 02/12/2017 01:55

Express vpn have a lot of different servers - and a live 24 hour chat service online. They have always been good at sorting any issues (BBC and Sky are the most aggressive at finding vpns - but express vpn have always had an alternative which works and they set up new servers all the time)

Only USD99 a year, which is cheaper than a TV license!
