Post natal support groups in Paris

My sister has just given birth in Paris. I am worried that she is a bit isolated & was hoping she could find a good post natal support group. She is bilingual so language is not an issue.

Is anybody aware of NCT type groups?

Hi,
I think this is one of the areas where France is much less organised and efficient than the UK.

There's a group in Paris that might help, it's called Message. The website is here

Someone else will hopefully come along soon with other ideas.

Message is definitely the place to go for post-natal support here in Paris for Anglo expats. What area of Paris is she in? I'm in the 17th if that's any good.

There is support available at the PMI (linked to the Sécurité Sociale) but might not fit the bill for a bilingual expat.

from what i can remember, message also publish a book called the ABC of motherhood in paris. its like a directory of everything relating to kids in paris. i found it really useful and very informative.

Thanks! that is really useful. I am worried for her & feel really guilty because I have lots of support here in London (& I still find it hard).

Anna8888- I think she is also in the 17th (rue Lebouteux?). I can't remember her nearest metro station. My mind is blank.

I don't want her to think I'm interfering. Just trying to help her.

Thanks again.

That's 20' walk from me. Do you want me to do anything? I would be very happy to help.

If your sister wants to meet other mothers with tiny babies, Message is definitely the place.

Anna, thanks! let me talk to my sister first. I don't want her to feel I am imposing "my way" on her or interfering. I will contact you on this thread if she is willing.
