Going to Sunshine Coast in May and going to look for a house to rent. Got my photos and portraits of children - I really wanted to put them up - especially of family leaving behind. Do you think they will let me?

depends on your landlord - there may be some hooks already there but usually unless you have the landlord's permission then NO you cannot put more hooks/holes in the walls.

Definitely ask permission, in our lease the fittings list had it listed very specifically how many hooks were in each room. We also had children's items we wanted to hang, but decided it wasn't worth the effort if we're in the house between 6-12mths. Just make sure you rent with a garage for storage for all the things you don't end up unpacking

We found they usually said yes when asked. Some said yes, as long as you patch and paint when you leave which is not at all hard if they have a bit of paint left in the pot, but a pain if you have to buy it yourself, some just said yes with no catches! Its worth asking.
