Dh wants to move to Portugal and set up a business/smallholding.

Anyone out there?!

It's very difficult to make a living here.
There's lots of bureaucracy that goes with setting up a business and tax is high.

A small holding - you'd literally be living on peanuts, hand to mouth unless you have some capital to live from/other source of income from U.K.

Which areas were you thinking about?
