Afternoon ladies, gents and non binary parental units

I am relocating to Jersey in September as a single parent. I have a 10 yr old daughter moving with me who is scared of the change ( we currently live on the Outer Hebrides). I am trying to gently persuade her by giving her ownership of the choice to move. I have a 2 day visit over the weekend of the 18th August. I would really like to arrange for her to meet kids her own age and get some parental feedback on schools even though everyone is obviously on their summer break. I will also need some help with childcare. I would really appreciate any help/advice on things I should look out for. She is a really keen gymnast and dancer/singer. Many thanks in advance, Mark
