How much does sunscreen cost in France

We're off to the Dordogne for a week soon. We're trying to get away with hand luggage only! We're decanting shampoo etc into 100ml bottles but I don't want to scrimp on sun protection; it's a pool holiday and we have a pre teen DS. I was thinking of buying it in France but if it's as expensive as it is in Majorca - €24- it might be cheaper to pay for excess luggage and take some with us!

Can anyone help?

In my local Monoprix you can get Nivea for about €13 :)

Could you not buy 100ml bottles of suncream gear and buy shampoo etc out there? Or you can buy bigger bottles of everything in the boots once through security. You can even usually do a click and collect order at home and just pick it up at the airport.

Gear? Here! Too early ...

We've just got back from the Dordogne (I have serious holiday blues and I am green with envy that you're going soon Envy) I didn't buy suncream there but i do remember looking at it in Carrefour and Casino and I don't remember it jumping out as being particularly expensive (€24 would have jumped out at me!) I think if was all around the €10, like here there will be differences in price depending on where you shop but don't think it will break the bank.

Very reasonably priced in Lidl. 😊

Thanks for replies - DH is in charge of packing and is obsessing over his lotions and potions!

Boots at airport is a good idea but we've got an early flight so don't think our regional airport will have shops open then.

Thanks for the Lidl suggestion - just googled and found out there's one near our hotel Grin

All you need on hand then. 😊 They sell the excellent Petit Marseillais shampoo as well.
