How was it when you first move out of the country? I think it would be the same, some difficult time at the beginning to get all things in order, and then it will be fine. And if it's not, you may come back.

I did and found this a far better prospect than job seeking in rural France where jobs are almost non existent.

I would try to find at least one job before going there.

Nothing stopping you applying (lots in Ouest France employment section, can't remember the website but there is one, and www.ouestjob.com is good) but you'll have to come here for interviews of course! I'd definitely find something before moving with a family unless you have lots of saved cash to live on. Salaries may not be what you're used to either so be warned.
