Hi all,
I feel very lucky to be in a position of having a job offer in Guernsey. My main concern is childcare. I will be working full time shifts and I wonder what out of school options there are? Breakfast, after school clubs and holiday clubs.
Thanks for any advice

Hi, I moved here 3 months ago. I'm pg so not sure about childcare but I know nurseries get booked quickly. I'm not sure on after school or breakfast clubs but every holiday the leisure centre has children's clubs and there's a couple of private providers too.

If I can help with anything else Guernsey related just pm me.

Congrats on the new job and move ! My brother lives there with his two children (and loves it). As above- Nurseries get very booked up so get on a list asap if required. And what he terms the 'good schools' (private one in the town where he lives) also the same. He's put both his children (1 and 3) on senior school waiting lists already. Think he says there is more choice for good primary schools but not sure about pre and after school clubs (am assuming they also get busy)
Again the holiday clubs get booked up (seeing a theme?!) so find what you like and get your name down.
Hope the move goes well

Hi I live in Guernsey. What age are your children- I'll give a detailed reply later. Smile

Thank you all so much!!! My children are 5 (yr 1) and 7 (yr 3). They are currently in a regular local authority school but we are all Catholic. Not sure if that makes a difference for schools?
Again, thank you all so much!! I really appreciate your replies xx

On Guernsey you have St Mary and St Michael, Notre Dame and Blanchelande as Catholic primary schools.
Skill set, outdoor Guernsey and Beausejour sport centre all do holiday clubs. I believe the first two also do pick ups and after school clubs. ( never used them). There are plenty of registered child minders that will drop you kids off / pick up from school etc.
