Well, a busy week it was. We visited Tanglin, Dover, Dulwich, Eton Broadrick and Chatsworth East and looked at properties. All with jet lag!

I would really appreciate some comparison advice Dulwich v Tanglin. We preferred Dulwich (I think) because it seemed to have a caring feel, despite its size. However, I would be interested to hear from Mums with kids there - especially in the lower years (my daughter will hopefully start Yr 2 at Easter and my son nursery in August).

Also, we know they do not currently have any spaces so we would be reliant upon a child leaving (or more than one child). Admissions are telling us that it is a very small waitlist but I note from previous posts that others have been told this and had no luck. Has anyone been in this situation? Is anyone on the Yr 2 wait list a present? Trying to work out what our chances really are as we don't want to pull our daughter off the Tanglin application process (which sadly we would have to do before knowing about Dulwich if we wanted to get our application fee back) if in reality we don't stand a chance at a Dulwich place....

Help!

and thanks x

Hopefully someone will be able to advise about the waitlists - we never bothered with that.

Did you get your housing sorted? I take it you voted for somewhere that side of the island if you're looking at Tanglin and Dulwich?

Hi Kuriusoranj

We were having a real dilemma because I loved Eton Broadrick and would probably prefer to live East but we feel that perhaps the primary years IB programme would be academic enough for our daughter (very sadly we came to this conclusion as I really really liked the school). So for now that leaves Tanglin and Dulwich and therefore living West. We haven't settled on any accommodation yet. We'll wait to see which school we end up in and then take it from there. You never know we may end up at Eton!
