Anyone live near Bonn?

Just moved within Germany to the Bonn area - anyone else live near Bonn?

I lived in Bonn for 4 years and loved it. Do you have children? Do they go to BIS? What made living in Bonn so great for me was the expat community linked to BIS - lots of friendly people and lots of stuff to do.

Our children go to state school. I'll be starting a language course at the Volkshochschule next week and am joining a 'mompreneurs' group to meet people.
My job at the university doesn't start til October but hopefully I will have started to set up a bit of a social life by then.
The children are way beyond play date age so social contact for me through school and the children is limited.
Moving post small children age is a bit lonelier than I had envisaged!
