Hello, just looking for some of the Brussels experts! Where can I find fresh milk?? We're in Zaventem. Lived in France before and never had this much trouble!

Fresh milk is a serious expense when you have a young family in Brussels as it's not the norm to drink it and only comes in 1litre cartons. We would buy 4 at a time as couldn't risk running out and corner shops won't have.

It isn't too hard to find these days though, but I would advise going to a bigger carrefour/GB or delhaize supermarket as they don't stock much in the smaller ones and it's often less than fresh. The best stocked store is the GB in Tervuren (opposite BSB) for obvious reasons.

This is what you are looking for:

Always check the dates. Like pp said it tend to be creamier.

You can get big cartons in Stonemanor which doesn't really work out more expensive than in local stores (but does if like me you end up buying loads of other treats when you visit).

Stonemanor, Carrefour, Delhaize, OK and Colryut (well the one in Overijse anyway!).

The Luxlait tends to keep longer as it's filtered, a bit like Cravendale.

Thanks for all the advice. We had tried all the local shops and Carrefour express, etc, finally found our way to a big Carrefour and now have milk! DD is happy once more!
