House-swapping to California for a month this summer (!!) - any MNers there??

The tip of the day made me laugh because we've just today agreed our first ever house swap with a lovely family in California for this summer.
We're swapping for a whole month during the school holidays. They live somewhere near Saratoga (Silicon Valley)

So now I need to begin to suss out the area, plan things to do, book trips etc!
DH has already invested in his Lonely PLanet guide, and we've been to CA before (but not exactly this area). We want to take the boys to Tahoe and Yosemite etc and visit friends in San Francisco.

Any MNers around this area who can offer advice/ website etc?

You wnat to talk to Califrau she lives out there, I think it might even be in silicon valley.
