Marcq-en-Baroeul

It's in the North of France, close to Lille. We're probably going to move there soonish, so I'd like to have an idea of its reputation. Is it a nice place to live in? Has it got good facilities, is it expensive, etc?

i don't know it, but will ask around. it is fairly close to us (in the pas de calais).

i like lille itself very much, although some of the surrounding countryside is very indistrialised.
