Packing a cake in your luggage

DH is returning from a holiday in the UK and has bought a carrot
cake to bring home as everyone loves it.
Now he is panicking about it getting squashed
He is travelling by car and ferry

Don't pack it. Just leave it on the backseat.

Just seen the date. Was it squashed?

I'd get a cooling box and leave the cake in the cooling box in the car.
