hope you all had a good day. We had two very overexcited and exhausted little girls. Went out to aunts for chrissy eve and they did not go to bed till well after 11pm. dd2 was up at 6.45 and dd1 not far behind. They had a good day. They loved their presents.

Dh and I are knackered from lack of sleep although he let me have a good sleep this afternoon.

Been 32 degrees and very muggy here - keep waiting for rain.

Dh said his immortal phrase which I think I am going to here every christmas....

"still doesn't seem right having christmas in summer' You think after his third he might be getting the hang of it.

so hope you had a lovely day

I'm right there with your dh

34 today
beach in the morning
loafing around in our pants for the rest of the day
intense mauve and pink sunset
my dad called me and described the fog and frost and I burst in to tears

We had a brilliant day...I just feel so lucky being here...
This morning after all the present opening....went down to the beach....then this afternoon...lounging by the pool and dinner....just me, my husband....daughter and son.
The highlight was when santa appeared on the tranquil waters of the aqua coloured Indian ocean, paddling his bright yellow canoe!!!...It was just such an ozzie moment.
Suzy...we MUST meet...pm me

We had a good day. A bit strange, tbh. My sister called at 9.30 to say the usual Merry Christmas etc. Didn't miss anyone. DD knew no different & got spoilt, as usual.

It was cold & raining, so felt quite at home with the weather.

We had prawn salad for starter, then turkey, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets & gravy. With that we had salads. Coleslaw, rice & pea salad, apple & bean salad & an avocado & green salad....really bizaar! I was sat around the table thinking how strange that all these people now think this is normal, while wishing for my hot veges!!

Then no Christmas pudding.......we had fruit & pavlova...

And to finish, weird arse TV. Didn't feel at all christmassy for me.

Am going to buy a chicken (as I haven't seem a single turkey in the shop) & do a full on roast next week. With all the Christmas trimmings.....
