Where would you go? And why?

Sydney.
I've lived there before, briefly, and have a longing to go back there more permanently to bring the DCs up there, but it's just so bloody far away from our family here.

I live in Italy and would like to relocate to the UK or maybe to somewhere nicer in Italy!

Maddaddam · 01/02/2016 16:49

I'm eyeing up the Pyrenees, especially the Spanish side.
Also wondering about S America but not sure exactly where.

NetballHoop · 01/02/2016 16:56

I'd happily live in the Galapagos islands

MyFriendsCallMeOh · 02/02/2016 00:03

Singapore with a fat expat package or somewhere in the Med (small villagey type place with no tourists by a crystal clear sea) ... you didn't say any of it had to be realistic!

Moopsboopsmum · 02/02/2016 12:59

Back home to the UK please.

In a fantasy world without dc and ageing relatives to worry about - Manhattan.

Also in my fantasy world the climate there would be milder and I wouldn't have to worry about extreme weather events Grin

Love the Canada love Grin

I'm happy here but I'd love to live in Scotland.

Unhappyexpat · 04/02/2016 18:47

New Zealand. Lived there for a few years and loved it.
Currently living in Sweden and really, really struggling and miserable.

Costa Rica or northern England

I'm British, husband is American. We've lived between Switzerland (on Lake Geneva) and Burgundy, France, for 25 years and before that I've lived in Iceland and husband in Slovenia and Croatia.

I've been desperate to leave Switzerland for well over 20 years. This year may be the year!

Costa Rica or Northern England made me laugh Jenny, they seem like such opposites Grin

We are moving to Australia (NSW) later this year, I've wanted to go for years and I'm so excited.

However leaving the possibility of quick holidays in Umbria (or pretty much anywhere in Italy) behind is making me sad, so I think maybe with unlimited funds it would be Italy. The people love children, the seasons are perfect, the food is amazing, the houses are beautiful and so is the countryside. Are we talking unlimited funds?
