Sailing again! Last thread disappeared.

Did have a thread on here entitled sailing, it had about five posts on it but a few days ago it just disappeared! I was going to PM the last poster Ping I think, but don't know her full name in order to PM her. if you are around Ping drop me a line.

The thread was about sailing, wanted to know if there were any other sailors around, I am currently living on a catamaran in Trinidad. Happy to hear from anyone or answer any questions.

May I be cheeky and ask how you went about living on a catamaran in Trinidad. I'm intrigued.

Anyway back to your question, left Portsmouth, May 2014 and sailed down the west coast of Europe to Lanzarote. Then crossed the Atlantic in December. Since arriving in Antigua we have visited various countries and we are currently in Trinidad for about a month. Next planned stops are Guyana, French Guiana and Suriname. Probably coming back to Trinidad in November to get some work done!

I am going to ask a really cheeky question now but how have you funded it? We are currently expats and are having the time of our lives and the kids are loving it but we would so love to do something like this but can;t see how.

What was your preparation for this adventure?

Wow that was a quick reply! Anyway just off to the cinema, Mission Impossible 5, with air con. (Although we do have air con on the boat.) So pushed for time today will PM you in the next day or so. Where do live at the moment and what ages are your children?

I know someone that did this, they sold their house to fund it, they are still out there, not in your neck of the woods though.

No house selling going on here, still like a base to come home to in England!
