Happy Thanksgiving. I'm American and of course I will be celebrating here in NJ.

DH really likes that its such a family day - without prtesents as a distraction...

Putting the turkey in soon and finished dressing the table for the big event. The pumpkin pie was done last night.

I miss having Thanksgiving back in the US! I loved sitting around, bloated, after dinner and watching football! (I can't stand football at any other time!)

I'm not cooking anything this year. I'm pregnant and the idea of cooking disgusts me, something about food preparation smells bother me lately. The finished product is another story.
I did help mom make the menu and do the shopping though.

I'm the same as your dh. I love the fact that we can all eat and be together without buying presents.

The thing I miss most (besides my family) is buying the bloody pumpkin pie. Over here if I want one I have to make it.

I'm sitting in the kitchen by myself cooking with Chicago radio on the computer. I think it's doing more to make me homesick though. Might have to change the tunes.

uwilalala - I listen to uk radio on the computer here in usa - wholefoods is opening in England next year i believe so you might be able to buy a really decent pie!

Yes, I know. In Kensington. Can't wait. And if they sell pumpkin pie that will be fab because I forgot to put the friggin sugar in it!! I was so looking forward to it and it was terrible. Had to chuck. Just goes to show Betty Crocker I aint!!
