hi..Im new to UK. Moved here just 9 months ago and very keen to make friends. Since I'm not working (just yet, I'm pregnant) its been tough trying to meet and make friends besides my neighbours :-)
Im in Reading..anyone out there keen for friendship?

You could try posting on the meetups thread, it tends to be a bit more specific to areas

depends on how PG you are (am assuming this is your first?), but suggest you sign up for local antenatal classes - am sure the NCT (national childbirth trust) run them locally to you. i hear they can be quite expensive but am sure they will be well worth it to meet people in the same situation as you.

i had DS in belgium 2 years ago and signed up for BCT (belgian equivalent of NCT) antenatal classes for the very same reason - although i am not in belgium any more, i am still in regular contact with 4 out the 5 mums i met there.
