Plus size shopping in the US

We're flying to the US in a few weeks. It will be my first time and I'm very excited!

Lots of people keep telling me about shopping for clothes there and how cheap it is etc. However I am a Uk size 22/24. What is the selection like in the US for plus sized clothes? Are there many shops or is it all online? Do normal brands go up to larger sizes?

TIA!

Very large choice in the shops compared to here. Most department stores have plus sized sections/floors. Designers do plus-sized ranges, including work and formal wear, in their cheaper ranges. There's a wider choice of everything at every price point basically, and very easy to find.

Its much easier to plus size shop in the US. You will be a 20/22 over there and will find the clothes pretty much everywhere! Clothing is cheap and i would advise you go with a (virtually) empty suitcase. Have fun!

That's going to be about 18-20 in US sizing but due to vanity sizing don't be surprised if you can fit into smaller clothes. torrid had cute clothes and old Navy has plus, but online shopping is where it is at Mod Cloth especially
