Books to help tell the children we're moving overseas?

We're moving from the UK to Singapore in July/August. Haven't yet told our children (ages 5, 3 and 1). Has anyone come across good books that helped explain the move to kids? Any advice as to how much to tell them, when to tell them etc.? Many thanks

Can't you just tell them??

We moved when DS was just about to turn 5, no books, we just talked about it a lot. He did take a while to get his head around it and 18 months later, I don't think he really understands the notion of a different country, only that you have to go on a plane to get there and they speak a different language and have different money.

Just tell them. At age 3, my dd moved from Scotland to Singapore, the big draw was being able to swim every day. At aged 8 we moved to Texas (she had a 5yo sister by then) we promised them a dog if we had a garden. Find a hook for them, use it. Acknowledge that they will not move with all their friends but explain that toys and bedrooms will be moving. My dd was worried about how we would move the toilet with the water in it when she was tiny so make sure they understand the details and be open to answering questions and having honest discussions with them. It will be easier than you think.
