Hi everyone, my husband and I just started out in Munich from London and are having a little girl in a few weeks. I was just wondering for those ex-pats and/or locals out there, what are the best local parenting/community sites in Germany? We're bilingual so anything welcome. Thanks!! Angelica x

I honesty haven't found anything I like as much as MN! There is babyforum.de which could come in handy for you though for specific, birth & baby related questions. It's well organized and you'd probably find out everything you'd need to know there! I'm in Frankfurt and there's an expat babies frankfurt page on Facebook which is great for local meetups and general expat as well as baby/child /family related questions. I guess there will be something similar for Munich. Hope you're enjoying Munich!

Have you heard of www.urbia.de? Not so much a local, but more of a general German parenting website.

There is also rund ums baby which has discussion forums and quite a lot of Muenchner but it is really nothing like mumsnet. I've been a member of both for about 9 years and it just doesn't compare.
It also has expert forums where you can ask questions to doctors, lawyers, nutritionists...
