Hi All,

I live in North Lakes, (North of Brisbane) I have a son Oscar 4, and a daughter Megan 2. We moved from the UK a few months ago and are yet to make any friends. My son is really missing having other friends his own age to play with
Does anyone fancy meeting for a coffee???

hiya - I have a 4yo dd with down syndrome and a 2yo dd. We live in Petrie. I am really busy at present - sorry but we are having a brisbane mums meet up and I can point you in the direction of some playgroups if that is a help. Have you thought about trying to get Oscar into kindergarten for next year?!?!

this is the c and K website - good kindies. My 4yo attends a special needs kindy as well as a mainstream kindy.

kindy

I know there is a playgroup that meets in Kallangur/Petrie border.

this is the link about the meet up

I will check the calendar and get back to you with a time I can be free for coffee - sorry not available now. If you want to email me off the board - edwali at excite dot com.

and

welcome to Brisbane

My dh is from the UK and I lived there for 4 years before coming back here to live in Brisbane - born and bred in Brisbane.

Have you thought about getting the kids into swimming lessons. My dd2 and I attend a mother and baby swimming lesson. I can email you the school we use although there is a Shapland swim school in Kallangur that I have heard good things about too.

Is Oscar off to Prep next year?? or is he in Prep 2008 like my dd1?

sorry lots of questions.

Oh I just realised I do have a friend with two boys - one who would be a little older than Oscar and one a little younger - I can contact her and see how she is for a coffee meet up - know another one who also has two boys - might be something I can organise one morning - leave it with me.
